A few teams asked to open tickets from Slack. Email is slow and it is also a record I can search. I am worried Slack becomes a second place where promises get made in a hurry.

@noahcodes
Full-stack founder. I care more about boring reliability than another dashboard widget.
Community
A founder forum for questions, feedback, tutorials, and building in public.

Forty percent said they would be very disappointed. The essays were more useful than the percentage. A few described a job I do not think I am selling.
The launch was not a disaster. It was quiet. I have been treating that quiet like a personal verdict and the work has stalled. I am curious how other people restarted without pretending the launch went well.
I offered half off for a weekend. It worked. The following month a few notes asked when the next one was. I would rather have had fewer sales and a calmer price.
Every forum I open is people selling to each other. I want the place my customer already asks for help. I have been guessing from job titles and I am probably guessing wrong.
I like the issues. They are also a second inbox. The hosted product is what pays for the week, and it is getting the leftovers.
People open it. They do not reply, try the feature, or complain. I am not sure a changelog is a marketing channel or just a polite archive.
It shows up in every survey. It is not why someone stays. I feel stubborn when I ship an import fix instead. I also know the survey rewards the answer that is easy to name.
If I email them on Thursday I am noise. If I stay silent, they forget the tab. The value really is weekly. I do not want to invent daily use that the job does not have.
I published two articles a month, fixed titles, and added internal links. Search Console shows impressions on a handful of posts. I am trying to decide whether to keep the cadence or go deeper on four pages.
The homepage is pretty and invisible. A single docs page gets the impressions. I am wondering if I should stop expecting the homepage to do a search job.
I can build at night. I cannot answer a customer at lunch and also be decent at the day job. The product is reaching the point where silence has a cost. I do not have a plan yet, just the collision.
I posted a column called next. Two customers treated it as a date. I missed the date because a bug took the week. I would like the transparency without the contract I did not mean to sign.
Per person punishes the moment a founder invites a teammate, which is the moment I most want. Per workspace feels like I am leaving money in the account of larger teams.
The post reached people. The import broke for a common file. I spent the day in email instead of talking to anyone who was curious. I am rewriting the launch checklist around the unhappy path.
