Not the marketing site. The page I see when I sit down. I have eight charts and I start in a different one every day depending on my mood.
I thought I was sharing a lesson. The last paragraph was a link with a discount. The removal was fast and fair. I am rewriting it as the lesson only, and I may not repost it at all.
I answer the inbox myself. The same three questions show up every week. I can keep writing better replies, or I can change the product so those questions die. The second one keeps slipping.
They did not get the export they needed and I am not building it this month. The refund was the honest product decision. I wrote two sentences and stopped.
They need to see that we received the event. I built a page that shows the last twenty, with the result. It is plain. Support used it the same day.
Quoting myself feels worse than an empty page. I have three kind emails and no permission to name the companies. The page currently has no proof at all.
A slice of users go quiet after two weeks. I can write a campaign, or I can look at the last screen they used. I have time for one of those this month.
Setup completion is fine on day one. The next morning I send a note about the second step and the open rate is miserable. Subject lines I have tried sound either like a newsletter or like a warning.
I am close to opening a small B2B tool. The price is settled. I am not sure a free tier would help someone reach the useful part, or just leave me with accounts that never see an invoice.
A helpful feature got used more than I modeled. The margin on the cheap plan is gone. I can cap it, move it up a tier, or raise the price and lose the people who only came for that button.
The threads were interesting and the visitors did not try the product. I left a short note and closed the tab. The week is quieter. I am treating quieter as space, not as failure.
A retry. Both customers were understanding and I still did not enjoy the mail. The sequence is locked now. Posting because billing bugs feel private and they should not be.
The status page was late by a few minutes and the launch post was ready. I shipped the fix and held the post. It feels like the grown-up choice and also like I am hiding.
Fourteen days gave people room to forget. Seven may just give them room to feel rushed. I will read the sessions before I trust the conversion line.
Three customers asked for the same export. It is real money, and it pulls the product toward a reporting tool I did not set out to build. I do not want to be precious about the roadmap either.
