Would you launch with free trials or a freemium plan?
I am close to opening a small B2B tool. The price is settled. I am not sure a free tier would help someone reach the useful part, or just leave me with accounts that never see an invoice.

I am not convinced "The price is settled" is the constraint yet. The people who saw it may have been the wrong room.
I have been adjacent to this. The sentence I would not skip is "I am not sure a free tier would help someone reach the useful part, or just leave me with accounts that never see an invoice". Finding who it is for mattered more than adding another feature.
What was the first sign you trusted in "I am close to opening a small B2B tool"?
If the value shows up in the first session, a trial is enough. Freemium helped us only for the feature people needed every day, not for the export they touched once.
Freemium brought us accounts. A 14-day trial with a setup call brought the invoices. The free tier is still there and I would not add it again.

I had written them off. They returned, finished the setup they had abandoned, and paid. I almost deleted the 'trial ended' state that still held their work.

- I am trying a 7-day trial on half of new signups
Fourteen days gave people room to forget. Seven may just give them room to feel rushed. I will read the sessions before I trust the conversion line.

- How did you get your first 10 paying customers?
Cold email has been a poor use of the week. I tried a few Reddit threads and two LinkedIn posts. People were kind and nobody bought. If you got to the first ten without ads, what was the actual channel?

- How do you say no to a feature a paying user asked for?
Three customers asked for the same export. It is real money, and it pulls the product toward a reporting tool I did not set out to build. I do not want to be precious about the roadmap either.
