A user sent a two-minute recording of them getting stuckIt was more useful than the last five calls because they did not tidy it up. They hesitated on a label I thought was obvious. The label changes today. I asked if I could keep the recording internal. They said yes.

How are you defining activation without fooling yourself?I counted 'created a project' and the number looked healthy. Most of those projects were empty the next day. I need a definition that is allowed to be disappointing.

The empty state did more than the tooltip tourI stopped building coach marks and wrote one sentence in the empty project: bring a file, or start with the sample. Activation moved. It is the least glamorous screen in the app and the one I should have written first.
