A user sent a two-minute recording of them getting stuck
It was more useful than the last five calls because they did not tidy it up. They hesitated on a label I thought was obvious. The label changes today. I asked if I could keep the recording internal. They said yes.

Send them the new label and ask if the pause is gone. I would not wait for five more people to hesitate the same way.
Two minutes of someone getting stuck beat my last five calls. I would keep the file somewhere private and only save the timestamp in the notes.
Good that you asked before keeping it. I dropped a recording into a Notion once and the person found it. Awkward, and I had no good answer.
Unpolished recordings are the only ones I still rewatch. If they paused on the label, change the label today and leave the steps under it alone.

That has not happened before. The change was the empty state sentence, not a new step. I am not throwing a launch for it. I am leaving the sentence alone.

- The trial email linked to a 404 for a day
A route rename. The message was otherwise fine. A handful of people hit the dead link. I have mailed them the right one. The checklist now includes clicking the actual email, not the preview.

- The empty state did more than the tooltip tour
I stopped building coach marks and wrote one sentence in the empty project: bring a file, or start with the sample. Activation moved. It is the least glamorous screen in the app and the one I should have written first.

- How are you defining activation without fooling yourself?
I counted 'created a project' and the number looked healthy. Most of those projects were empty the next day. I need a definition that is allowed to be disappointing.
