The trial email linked to a 404 for a day
A route rename. The message was otherwise fine. A handful of people hit the dead link. I have mailed them the right one. The checklist now includes clicking the actual email, not the preview.

I started pasting the live URL into the checklist after a rename. The template looked fine for a week while the button 404'd.
The preview is useless for this. I only trust the email when I open it on my phone and tap the button.
A day of dead links is annoying and still small. Mailing those people the right URL is the fix. I would not turn it into a writeup.
Route renames and trial mail are a bad pair. Send the next one to yourself from the real sender, not from the builder.

That has not happened before. The change was the empty state sentence, not a new step. I am not throwing a launch for it. I am leaving the sentence alone.

- A user sent a two-minute recording of them getting stuck
It was more useful than the last five calls because they did not tidy it up. They hesitated on a label I thought was obvious. The label changes today. I asked if I could keep the recording internal. They said yes.

- The empty state did more than the tooltip tour
I stopped building coach marks and wrote one sentence in the empty project: bring a file, or start with the sample. Activation moved. It is the least glamorous screen in the app and the one I should have written first.

- How are you defining activation without fooling yourself?
I counted 'created a project' and the number looked healthy. Most of those projects were empty the next day. I need a definition that is allowed to be disappointing.
