First invoice, four months later than the plan
Someone paid for LaunchTrail this morning. The plan on the wall said January. It is fine, and it also took longer than I told my friends it would. I am leaving the old date up so I remember the estimate was the fiction.

One change, then stop. Address "Someone paid for LaunchTrail this morning" and leave the rest of the product alone for a week.
Keep the date. Future plans get more honest when the old one is still visible.
Congratulations. My first one arrived from a person I had stopped following up with. The follow-up I was embarrassed to send was the one that worked.

The post reached people. The import broke for a common file. I spent the day in email instead of talking to anyone who was curious. I am rewriting the launch checklist around the unhappy path.

- Launch feedback is split and I am freezing
Half the notes say the checklist is too long. Half say a step is missing. I have been editing in circles. How do you pick when the comments disagree and both sides sound reasonable?

- I am launching to forty people who asked, not to a directory
The list is short on purpose. Everyone on it has seen the problem. I will write about it afterward if there is something honest to say. I am done launching to people who owe me nothing.

- I will not post a launch thread in a community I do not read
I showed up last time with a link and I could feel it. If I am not willing to answer other people there next week, I do not get to ask for attention this week.
